Fun in the Sun

With a long break coming up next week, we thought it'd be nice to share some activities that you can do. If you aren't celebrating Chinese New Year or perhaps you have some time to spare, maybe you can try some of these out!

1. Run/Hike/Cycle

Ever since the pandemic hit, people have been more health conscious. During circuit breaker, lots of people were running. So why not continue those efforts? Go run, hike or cycle. You can explore Singapore while keeping fit and bonding with your friends and family.

Some places include: Coney Island, Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve.

2. Have a picnic

Everyone loves eating, so why not enjoy nature at the same time? You can go to the beach or a park. It can be good bonding activity for your family, friends and partner. If you'd like to make the picnic more interesting, you could each prepare 1 or 2 dishes, and keep it a secret as a surprise. This way, not only will you get to visit a new place, you might even get to try a new dish that you've never tasted before.

Some places include: Palawan Beach, East Coast Park.

3. Water Sports

Singapore is known for its hot and humid weather, so what better way to escape the heat with some water activities? There are so many that you can try, some examples include paddle-boarding and canoeing.

Some places include: Water Sports Centre.

4. Catch the Sunrise/Sunset

This is the simplest activity that anyone can participate in, you might even be able to do it from the comfort of your bed. We don't get to appreciate the sunrise or sunset with our busy schedules now. However with this long break means that you can stay up to catch the sunrise (and sleep in after), or appreciate the sunset at the end of the day, which you might normally miss or overlook due to work. You can even combine this activity with your picnic and enjoy the view with your family, friends or partners.

Some places include: Raffles Marina Lighthouse, Marina Barrage.

新年快乐 Happy New Year! Here's wishing everyone good health and fortune, whether you celebrate Chinese New Year or not, we hope everyone enjoys this long break.
